Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run
In the unlikely event that the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run needs to be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen safety reasons or adverse weather conditions, you can be the first to find out by joining Glasgow Alert - GSR. Glasgow Alert - GSR has been set up by Glasgow City Council working closely with Glasgow Life (formerly Culture and Sport Glasgow) to provide an invaluable warning system for runners and spectators.
Please register below to receive free text messages or emails to inform you of the cancellation, postponement or any other emergency safety message regarding the event.
Glasgow Alert can be used for major events such as Great Scottish Run and Hogmanay. However, its main purpose is to provide an early warning system for residents and businesses within the city centre, should the need ever arise to evacuate.
If you are a resident or work in the city centre then please login to your profile page and sign up to the receive free messages from our Warn and Inform groups. You can do this by clicking on the ‘Join’ button next to W&I Glasgow CC Residents or W&I Glasgow CC Business whichever is most appropriate for you.
